Oil Mediums

Oil painting mediums are substances added to oil paint to alter its properties, such as consistency, drying time and surface finish. They can make paint flow better, dry faster or slower, become more transparent, or change from matte to glossy. Common mediums are mixtures of drying oils, solvents, and resins, which help artists control their paint and broaden their techniques
